Is there a chance that the fix for
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8157913 will be backported to jdk8?

It seems like a major error to me, if packaged applications don't start
and I have just been affected by this problem.

We hadn't planned to backport this, although it does look like a pretty
serious problem.

A closer look suggests it would be a good one to take, as long as there
are no complications with the backport.

I was pretty shell-shocked when my applications no longer worked after
some changes to my machine. And the console output wasn't exactly
helpful either:

[***@rlimbus ~]$ /opt/QA/current/QA
/home/rli/devel/sys/opt/QA/current/QA have received a copy of the GNU
General Public License
# along with this program; if not, see <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/>.

# The format of this file is the same as for the corresponding file of
# the X Window System, which normally can be found in
#       /usr/lib/X11/locale/libpackager.so not found.

So a backport would be most welcome :-).
