Hi all,

Because moving to an organization was recently mentioned here, or
founding one for OpenJFX, I would like to mention a very few points.

Corner stones for the Apache Foundation:
*) clear and open project governance
*) be open about decisions and develop the community the Apache way
*) be Apache licensed and branded

And while I think OpenJFX will manage the first two points I am really
wondering about the licensing issue. GPL2 with or without CE is
considered category-x, which means it cannot be included in an Apache
product: https://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html#category-x

That means incubation involves (among other things) clearing up and
transferring the "IP" to the Apache Software Foundation, and then
licensing the project under Apache License.

Right now the project is kind of unusable for the ASF

bye Jochen

It has been mentioned, but there are no plans to do this.
